Daniel Quintero hasta hace unas horas era el alcalde de Medellín.
El ahora exalcalde publicó un video en el que oficializó su renuncia al cargo y aseguró que saldrá a hacerle campaña a Juan Carlos Upegui, candidato a la alcaldía del partido Independientes.
En el video, Quintero comienza hablando de lo que lo motivó a lanzarse de alcalde.
“La razón principal es porque pensaba siempre que había un niño en Popular, Manrique, en Aranjuez, en la comuna 13, que estaba ahí luchando para salir adelante sin oportunidades, sin plata para estudiar, sin un computador y que se le iban cerrando las puertas y que se le iba acabando el futuro y me daba rabia y me llenaba de indignación ver cómo los políticos se dedicaban a robar, como nos tumbaban en Hidroituango, en Orbitel, en Une y nadie hacia nada”.
En los 4.44 minutos de duración que tiene el video habla también de lo que fue su alcaldía en otros temas.
El exalcalde habla de las elecciones a la alcaldía de Medellín y sus intereses. “No me puedo quedar cruzado de brazos al ver como los políticos de siempre, a través de Fico, que antes era una persona alternativa, se unió con todo lo peor de la política tradicional y ahora, contra todo, utilizando todas las artimañas, está tratando de volver al poder, apoyando a los que se robaron a Orbitel, Hidroituango y Une”.
Finalmente, Quintero indica que saldrá a entregar volantes en apoyo a Juan Carlos Upegui, a quien considera “la única alternativa para poder enfrentar el Fico-uribismo”, lo que se oficializará en la mañana de este domingo, en una rueda de prensa citada por su partido, Independientes.
