Desde las 5:00 a.m. de este sábado, los trabajadores que prestan sus servicios en las estaciones del sistema en la ladera de la ciudad se han manifestado.
Aseguran que el sistema que sirve a la comuna 20 no cuenta con un mantenimiento optimo, y que por eso decidieron parar sus operaciones. Señalan que también faltan insumos para reparaciones de las cabinas y demás servicios de las estaciones.
Entre tanto, el presidente de Metrocali, Óscar Ortiz, indicó que no existen dichos problemas con el MIO Cable. La protesta, según él, es “por problemas contractuales con algunos prestadores de servicio”. También indicó que ya se trasladó a la zona para buscar soluciones que permitan abrir el sistema al público.
Luego de una conversación con los manifestantes, la entidad logró un acuerdo que permitiera restablecer el funcionamiento del sistema aero-suspendido.
“En el proceso de diálogo, después de haber escuchado a todas las partes y de proporcionar la necesaria claridad por parte del ente gestor, se acordó realizar una revisión técnica exhaustiva con el personal del cable y expertos en la materia”, señaló Metrocali en un comunicado.
Cabe recordar que unas 2.000 personas de la zona de ladera de Cali se benefician con este servicio que los conecta con el sur de la ciudad.
